The owners and 'hosts' were lovely - friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Staying at Eliza's Manor is a delightful old world experience. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge and luxurious. Breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed the special touches of home made cookies and chocolates. Our parting gifts including a teddy bear wearing an Eliza's Manor t - shirt was the 'icing on the cake'. We loved our stay and are looking forward to a return visit in the future.

I had a wonderful stay at this B&B in New Zealand. The location was perfect for exploring the town center on foot. The historic building was charming and my room, the Pyne room, had beautiful leaded glass windows. The bathroom was spacious with a heated floor and a luxurious claw foot tub. I appreciated the tea kettle in the room, along with a selection of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The manager went above and beyond to meet all of my needs and even saved me from leaving without my backpack. The breakfasts were delicious and had a variety of made to order options. I highly recommend this B&B for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Beautiful decor - a welcome change from all the white/cream-coloured hotel rooms everywhere. Friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Good location. Interesting history going back ~150 years and also interesting detail re impact of the earthquakes.

I must say, we got great value for our money at this charming hotel. The room was absolutely delightful and the location couldn't have been better, close to downtown and surrounded by good restaurants and a beautiful park. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of.
The only thing that could have made the morning meal better was if the breakfast time had been communicated to us more clearly. Unfortunately, we missed it because we weren't informed about the timing.

We stayed at a boutique B&B housed in a beautiful historic building. The spacious room was full of unique character, and the plush bedding made for a cozy night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and came with complimentary toiletries. The friendly staff served a satisfying breakfast with plenty of choices. The location was convenient and allowed easy access to nearby attractions.
The price felt a bit too high for the overall experience.

We had an amazing and luxurious stay at this hotel. The exclusive amenities met all of our needs and exceeded our expectations. The room advantages were fantastic and the Bar/Lounge area was perfect for winding down after a long day. The private facilities were impressive and the location advantages were great for exploring the area. The service was impeccable and we felt truly pampered.
We did notice a minor issue with the carpet in our room which could have been cleaner. Despite this, it did not detract from our overall positive experience at this venue.

We recently had a lovely stay in a vintage hotel with a touch of history. The room was quite roomy with a comfy bed and high-pressure shower. The location was very quaint and away from busy streets but still easy to travel to various places. One of our favourite things about our stay was the welcoming staff, who greeted us and offered us various services we could make use of.
Our only criticism would be the distance to the city, which made it challenging to access all tourist destinations we had in mind within the given time for our romantic escape. the lighting in the seating area could have been brighter since it was dimly lit and we could not properly enjoy the ambiance.

Our stay was comfortable and peaceful. We appreciated the warm welcome given by the staff. The location was convenient, providing an easy walk to restaurants and shops. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep.
Although the amenities provided were pleasant, they seemed somewhat impersonal. The breakfast options could have been more generous.
